![]() I've experience similar issues with Duplicati, but I've chosen to stick with it, and help work to fix the issues, as it is otherwise a great piece of software, just a very, very beta. It should have compression and delta uploads to save space and bandwidth.ĭoes something like this exist, or am I stuck with Duplicati? More services would be nice because I'll most likely lose access to my infinite free storage in 2 years. I need Google Drive and WebDav support so I can use the same program for both steps of the process. ![]() My files need to be encrypted before being uploaded because I don't trust Google not to snoop. Nothing should break if I interrupt the backup. It must be open source because I don't trust proprietary software with personal info. I expect interruptions to be frequent because I close my laptop when I'm not actively using it and I use wi-fi. This is not acceptable because it will consume an unnecesary amount of space, bandwidth, and my time. I really like Duplicati, except it seems very "fragile." Interrupting a backup (such as by disconnecting from the network or putting the laptop to sleep) will cause it to fail and one failed backup basically means I need to set it up and backup everything again. I have free infinite storage on there provided by my school. My backup strategy is to back up my laptop to my on-site Nextcloud server, which also stores large rarely used files that I don't need/want on my laptop, and then the server backs itself up to Google Drive. If this kind of stuff isn't allowed here, feel free to redirect me to another sub.
